Using only type, I had to grab people’s attention to be interested in the poster. With only the use of type, color, and space I had to be able to create an interesting and captivating composition about a typeface. I did a deep-dive on the typeface and used the information as a guide to organize the type and additional information that seemed interesting in a way that complemented the typeface. Throughout the process of creating this poster I had learned that with the help of hierarchy and space the composition grew greatly in the poster, aiding to grab a passerby’s attention.

For the project below we had the chance to pick a book we've read before and try to design a dust jacket and the inside pages using only type and simple shapes. No graphics. Being able to explore how to use justified text and how to discover new ways to emphasize a new chapter. While creating this I found new ways to format type and how to incorporate simple shapes to create a theme to go along with it.
